The 82 Skål International World Congress was held in the beautiful city of Málaga. From November 1st to 5th, the Andalusian city became the epicentre of business opportunities and the celebration of lasting friendships. During the opening ceremony of the Skål Annual General Assembly held on the 2nd of November 2023, the Skål Sustainable Tourism awards and the Skål Club of the year awards winners were announced and recognized.
The Skål International Sustainable Tourism Awards are geared towards enhancing the visibility and grant recognition to entities from the Travel and Tourism industry. As an Affiliated Member of the UNWTO, whose mission is to promote reliable, sustainable, and universally accessible Tourism, Skål International created the Sustainable Tourism Awards following the United Nations declaration of 2002, to spotlight best practices globally.
Skål International Sustainable Tourism Awards are open annually to all public and private sector companies, educational institutions, NGOs, and government agencies related to tourism worldwide.
All sustainable operations and activities must be implemented by the company, NGO or agency applying for the award.
